Aftercare, Warranty & Returns


All our furniture is designed and made to ensure a long and useful life, but like most things, with time it will need a little care and attention to keep it looking vibrant and beautiful. We offer the choice of an aftercare service where we can arrange to maintain the furniture for you or a DIY oiling aftercare kit which, combined with a bit of elbow grease, includes everything you need to maintain your furniture, including full instructions. We will also provide you with our aftercare brochure.

As an extension to our aftercare service, we offer the opportunity for our clients to take advantage of our after sales option known as our ‘Seasoned Collection’. This secondary service is ideal for those who have commissioned or purchased a free-standing Edward Johnson design and wish to transfer custodianship.

We take pride in our furniture being made to exceptional craftsmanship standards and our many awards stand testament to this. We are confident that our furniture will stand the test of time and offer a ten-year guarantee against defective workmanship and materials. However, don’t just take our word for it, please read our client testimonials.


For any ‘Stock Furniture’ items our returns policy states that where a faulty piece of furniture is delivered, you have the legal right under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 to return and request a refund within 30 days of receiving it.

If you are unhappy with your purchase for any other reason, let us know within 14 days of receiving it and we will guarantee a refund providing the item is returned in ‘as new condition’ within a further 14 days. The cost of returning the item will be your responsibility.

Unfortunately, we are unable to refund shipping, handling or insurance charges, except of course in the case of any errors on our part.

Bespoke and custom-made limited-edition items that are made to special order are not able to be refunded or returned. However defective workmanship and materials will be rectified as quickly as possible and fall within our ten-year guarantee.

Please note that most of our furniture is made of solid timber, and you should expect it to move slightly in damp or overly dry conditions.
