Sculptural Desk – Walnut
‘Radium III’ walnut desk– ref: 1809
This elegant asymmetrical sculptural desk is constructed using several complicated techniques. The sculptural curved leg is made from stacking layers of timber that are joined together and then sculpted by hand to the finished form. The opposite leg utilises our own in-house straight and curved ‘Murano’ veneers.
Our ‘Murano’ veneers have been developed and perfected in the workshop to produce wavy, straight, curved or radial effects in beautiful and contrasting timbers, that once oiled enhances the rich and unique characteristics of each chosen material.
This desk is made from English and European walnut. The desk has a beautiful leather top trimmed with brass on two sides, and has a gently curving front and back edge. The desk also accommodates five drawers with brass detailing, and contains an integrated power source hidden within the leg. It has been specifically designed to be viewed from all angles, so sits well in the centre of a room if desired.
