Jewellery Box

Squaring the Circle – ref. 1902

Description
The Squaring the Circle jewellery box utilises our in-house Murano veneers. On this occasion we have taken our semi-circular curves a step further, producing them in perfectly matched circular forms on five sides of the cubed box.

The external veneers are made from elm and have an oiled finish. The timber has rich tones with hints of green and pink. Each side of the box is reminiscent of the growth rings of a tree juxtaposed with the straight and angular edges of the cube.

A solid turned ‘dimple’ is incorporated into the top, which acts as a discreet handle to fully open the two sides of the jewellery box. The interior and the four removable trays are made from solid maple that beautifully complements the elm exterior. The trays are lined with a quality suedette fabric in a choice of magenta, teal and blackcurrant purple.
