Blueprint ref. 1808
This blueprint design for the Ripples credenza would form part of Edward’s ongoing Ripples Collection. For this collection Edward’s main aim was to push laminating in a whole new direction. Originally inspired by the action of a stone dropping into water, Edward has developed and perfected this technique to produce elegant, clean and fluid forms – see our award winning Ripples chest of drawers as an example.
For this credenza Edward has proposed that the ripple starts in one corner and gradually flattens out seamlessly across the cabinet, therefore leaving a flat surface on part of the top for an ornament, lamp or serving area. It has been designed to have a lift-up top that opens with a piston (optional), two cabinet doors and a recessed plinth to the base.
