Our aftercare oiling service
If you have commissioned or purchased a piece of our furniture you can take advantage of our aftercare oiling service*. While all our furniture is designed and made to ensure a long and useful life, like most things, with time it will need a little care and attention to keep it looking vibrant and beautiful.
As part of our aftercare service, we can either come to your home, or, if you prefer, you can arrange to bring your furniture to our workshop. The cost of the service depends on which option you take, your location and the size of your furniture.
*Please note: We only offer this service for oiled furniture products we have made.
How to order
You can purchase the service in our online shop or by contacting us directly. You will need to:
1. Choose the band for your location (A, B, C etc.)**
2. Select the size of your furniture (small, medium, or large).
To assist you, here are a few examples of furniture sizes:
Small items: Squaring the Circle jewellery box, Cube jewellery box, Chichester Mirror.
Medium items: Luna key cabinet, Ed, Edd & Eddy nest of tables, Centrum chest of drawers, Chichester Tables, 4-6 seater dining table.
Large items: Radiant chest of drawers, Radiant desk, Murano Cento extending dining table, Centrum blanket chest, 8+ seater dining table.

Our DIY Aftercare Kit
If you prefer to maintain your own oiled furniture, you could purchase one of our DIY oiling aftercare kits. This includes everything you need to maintain your furniture, including full instructions and our aftercare brochure. With a little elbow grease and one of our kits, you can bring the vibrance back to your oiled furniture. The kits come in a choice of hard wax oil and white oil.

Cleaning your furniture
We recommend the following products to help you to keep your Edward Johnson furniture looking vibrant.
- Wood cleaner with spray bottle.
- Wood Silk non silicone furniture polish with beeswax.
Seasoned Collection
As an extension to our aftercare service, we offer our clients the opportunity to take advantage of our after sales option known as our ‘Seasoned Collection’. This secondary service is for anyone who has commissioned or purchased a free-standing Edward Johnson design and wishes to transfer custodianship.
